Submitting Materials

The Bear River Project relies on the community submitting tips and historical information. Please only submit original unpublished material. We have an extensive library of published works including all the primary works on the Bear River Massacre (eg. Newell Hart, Brigham Madsen, official reports, etc.). We are primarily interested in

• Original local photographs from our region pre-1910. Especially images of Battle Creek, Battle Creek Station, and Shoshone and Bannock natives.
• Unpublished accounts of the Bear River Massacre (previously known as the Battle of Bear River).
• Unpublished accounts and diaries of individuals involved in the massacre or events surrounding the massacre.
• Historically important artifacts from pre-1910. This includes native American artifacts, Utah Northern railway artifacts, etc. 

If you have any of these items, even if you think they are minor, please contact using the form to the right so we can understand what you have and work with you to record and preserve materials that are historically important. You never know, it could be your family's photograph or historical note that could open the floodgates of history!
